I’ve become intrigued by the idea of left and right handed drawing and have decided to take it further.
I’m going to take pictures of my close family in portrait and draw them, one side with my right hand and the other with my left. The reason for choosing to do close family members (my mother, stepfather and sisters) is so that I can draw on memory as well as observation of the photographs.
I’m expecting the images to not at all look symmetrical, but at the same time I’m hoping that they still look realistic because there are very few people who’s faces are in fact symmetrical.
I’m hoping that the results of these pictures will influence further study.
